НОВОПЕТРІВСЬКИЙ РЕГІОЯРУС МІОЦЕНУ ПІВНІЧНОЇ УКРАЇНИ

Наведено опис новопетрівського регіоярусу міоцену Стратиграфічної схеми неогенових відкладів Північної України. Він влючає новопетрівську світу Дніпровсько-Донецької западини та Українського щита, часово-ярську товщу, товщу глинистих «клейких» пісків, товщу кварцово-кременистих пелітів і пісковиків західних і південно-західних окраїн Донбасу, буровугільні відклади і товщу темно-сірих глин Новодмитрівської воронки. Новопетрівський регіоярус відображає етап в міоценовій історії Субпаратетісу, пов’язаний з формуванням прісноводного озера, яке утворилось в межах Північноукраїнської палеоседиментаційної провінції після регресії останнього палеогенового морського басейну. Відклади новопетрівського регіоярусу разом із товщею строкатоколірних глин являють собою єдиний седиментаційний цикл, відомий як великий озерний етап розвитку Східно-європейської платформи в міоцені. Новопетрівський регіоярус корелюється з кавказьким і конкським регіональними ярусами Східного Паратетісу (аквітан—нижня частина серавалію).
